Common Causes of Back Pain

Some people have a difficult time pin pointing where their back pain came from, while others know their pain began after being involved in an accident.

One of the most common accidents that will cause a victim to suffer back pain is Car Accidents.

When your car struck by another motor vehicle, it tends to cause the body to jerk around, tense up, and shift in unnatural ways. This often leads to spinal injuries.

It is important to keep in mind that even low-velocity car accidents can cause spinal injuries, so don't assume that if you were involved in a "tiny fender bender" that you haven't suffered from significant injuries.

Additional causes for Back Pain may include:

  • Slip and Fall Accidents
  • Sports Injuries
  • Workplace Injuries

When any of these accidents occur, it is more obvious where your back pain came from.

Less coherent injuries can still produce nagging pain, and some of these may include injuries to the ligaments, muscles, tendons, sprains, strains, and herniated/slipped discs.

One contributor to back pain that is often overlooked has to do with a person's Lifestyle Habits

Do you walk with a hunch or slouch in your desk chair at work? Or how about your sleeping positions? Did you even know that by sleeping incorrectly you could cause yourself to suffer from back pain?

These may seem like minor problems and may lead you to believe that they would only have minor consequences, but over time they have detrimental impacts on your spine and can lead you to suffer from back pain.

Obesity and emotional stress can also lead to pain and discomfort in your back. It is critical to take care of your health, both mentally and physically, to eliminate back pain and reduce the chance of structural issues.

Chiropractic Treatment for  Back Pain

Chiropractic Care is an all natural and safe treatment option that is used to help people with back pain recover so they can return to their normal activity level.

The human body is a self-healing organism. Of course, we cannot deny that there are occasions when surgery is absolutely the right course of action. However, we believe that it should not be the first course of action.

Our Chiropractors use a hands-on approach. The most common treatment utilized is Spinal Adjustment

Spinal Adjustments are also known as Spinal Manipulations, and they are swift and calculated movements that help increase a patients range of motion, functioning, align the spine, and even relax the muscles.

In addition to spinal adjustments, Chiropractors may also use the following treatment methods:

  • Spinal Decompression
  • Flexion-Distraction technique
  • Hot and cold packs
  • Muscle Stimulation
  • Diathermy
  • Cold laser therapy

It's important to remember that due to Chiropractic Care's natural and healthy style, it can take a bit longer for patients to be completely pain free. This means do not expect one chiropractic adjustment to relieve your pain completely.

Do not let this discourage you! The best things in life take time and your doctor will be very clear and upfront about your treatment's expected time frame.

If you are suffering from back pain, do not put off treatment. Waiting for your pain to go away on its own, could potentially make it worse along with having a much longer recovery time when you finally do seek treatment.

The Chiropractors at Florida Spine and Injury can help with your pain relief. We will conduct an in-depth examination to find the source of your pain. We do not believe in masking pain symptoms, it is our goal to find the route of the problem so we can treat it at its source.

After your exam, the doctor will provide you with a specialized treatment plan. Each patient will receive their own unique treatment plan. Every patient's back pain is different, which is why we believe in providing specialized treatment plans for each patient.

Love this place and the staff is all fabulous. I've had decompression therapy on my lower back and neck, and it's been wonderful. The professional staff (mixed in with humor and personality) make my 1 hour of treatment so much fun. I'd recommend this facility to anyone who has back and neck issues. PS: Dayna is live entertainment!
